A realistic approach - Green Pocket initiative

Are we worried about Global Warming, Climate change, pollution and mother earth, obviously yes. As a matter of fact, we all know the evils of over utilization of natural resources but at the same time, the alternatives are neither pocket friendly nor convenient some time. A place like Gurgaon I can plan to use public transport for my daily commutation requirements, but public transport does not seems to be supportive towards my wish to save fuel. Metro rail is convenient  but last mile connectivity(Never Say Finish rapid metro) and "Getting Sand witched"  feeling makes me refrain from this option, as well during peak hours. Cycling to office may be a great option for dare devils, who wants to become "Gold Coins" in Gurgaon  version of Temple Run  "Gurgaon Run". Never say die, I'd tried to walk(at least to the nearest Bus Terminal from office) and collected 2 bruise from "Touchy" Autos and a friendly hit from a biker, enjoying his right of way on the wrong side of the road.

There is a general saying " Something, tasty will not be healthy. Something healthy may not be tasty" but I found something which is tasty and healthy at the same time. I've started commuting between Home and office using Folksvagn. Now I am driving twice in a week only and the fuel cost is down by half, additionally found lots of new friends. together we are contributing towards Mother Earth, in a simple and cost effective way. Before talking theories about all the terms mentioned in first line, we should start practicing, ourselves.

Most Sensible Advice on H1N1

This is the mail I'd received on H1N1 prevention, and it sounds most sensible, I'd gone thru till date, the original credit goes to Dr. Arvind Mundkur, Here is the details:

Please realize that this is not an official advice, especially the one about face masks or N95. Most N95 respirators are designed to filter 95%
particulates of 0.3µ, while the size of H1N1 virus is about 0.1µ. Hence, dependence on N95 to protect against H1N1 is like protecting against rain
with an umbrella made of mosquito net.
Tamiflu does not kill but prevents H1N1 from further proliferation till the virus limits itself in about 1-2 weeks (its natural cycle). H1N1, like
other Influenza A viruses, only infects the upper respiratory tract and proliferates (only) there. The only portals of entry are the nostrils and
mouth/ throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible not coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions.
Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.
While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and
development of secondary infections, some very simple steps - not fully highlighted in most official communications - can be practiced (instead of
focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):
1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).
2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat or bathe)..
3. Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/
nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the
same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative
method.
4. Similar to 3 above, clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti
(very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm
salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.
5. Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). If you have to supplement with Vitamin C
tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.
6. Drink as much of warm liquids as you can. Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off
proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.
7. All these are simple ways to prevent, within means of most households, and certainly much less painful than to wait in long queues outside
public hospitals.

Happy breathing!

Cultural Police of India

Finally Indian culture is being taken care by them, who are the biggest threat for it. The goons of various senas actually a collection of individuals, who don’t have anything to do. This is the new definition of Extortion, “ Give Me HAFTA or CULTURE will be slapped on you”. Who had given them authority to teach culture to us. It is a matter of mentality, Some people can not tolerate what they can not do themselves due to some constraints, This is better termed as Chronic Frustrated Mob, joins these kind of shoddy outfits like “Some Sena”. We need to stand strongly against these goons as they need to be cultured enough to even talk about Indian Culture. There are two type of purist in life, first are rare real ones, other lot is just because of lack of options, Actually saying “PURITY IS LACK OF OPPURTUNITY”, they becomes moral police. These people are “GENETIC GARBAGE” of our society.
Cheers

BEGANI SHAADI.............

Finally OBAMA Sworn in, He is new president of USA. Now what we are getting from him, as we sung like cannery all thru the process from his campaign to Swearing in ceremony, Even some Indian’s had written songs on his praise. We are living in a great country, where we care for every thing else other than our own issues. We are ready to dance on any wedding even without invited. Whole of the Media was hooked to cover every moment of President, what he talks, how he walks….. The sensible news is missing from the media since quite long. As an Indian citizen I failed to understand how does it matter for me if US elects its first “BLACK PRESIDENT”? Are we finding ourselves in the same league (“BLACK”). US / UK fumbles on the issue of PAK sponsored terrorism and we are following them like Sheep. I am not biased with Mr. Obama but I don’t know why we are crowning a country’s (read US) president as King of the World.

TERROR WITHIN

Terror Within

Once again we will talk a lot about true spirit of MUMBAIKARs and forget the pain for the same. Who is the culprit, a million dollor question everyone is asking. The Pakistan, Terrorists or "TERROR WITHIN", which is nothing but our elected leaders, who leads themselves to luxury, nothing else. Terrorism is a religion, which believes in bloodbath and cruelity but our ploitician seems to have gone a bit far with their secularist approch, to respect all religions including terrorism. "Pappu Vote Nahi Dalata", Why he should, for getting killed for no reasons, for loosing his near and dear one due to his NON-VIP status. Most elite security forces are gaurding those, who should sacrify their lives for country as per Text Book Guidelines. Lots of resignation will follow the Blood Bath but what will be the final outcome one more elections next year, Fight for Power Share between our dedicated leaders to get most creamy portfolio so self economy can be taken care.Big Cities may have samll incidents(as said by Mr. RR Patil) but Small individuals does not have any rights to rule us. Terror Tourism promoted by CM him self to show a devasted site to his son and his friend as they might have not enjoyed this kind of view before as VIPs. We should fight with our Politicains first then only we can fight terrorism. An government funded University is funding terrorists on the name of religion and ruling party is loving it, The attacker of our identity "Parliament" still enjoying free Lunch and dinner.
Now this is the time we need to start hating Sinners along with the their SINS and fight against the TERROR WITHIN........

I see what you see

Your papa dictates the terms, when it comes to watch TV. What if even you are adult and mature but amazingly you can not decide what may be fit for you to see on the TV. The elected PAPAs of India (Read Politicians) want to remotely control our remote control. Due to populist measures, they keep on issuing fatwas to protect our culture. Recently two TV channels were banned in India for showing obscene contents. Let me go in to the deep what is obscene or inappropriate for any one to see, listen, the skin, that’s it. What about baseless soaps where every person is at least having 3 partners and 3 faces (after surgery). All the soaps are filled with vamps, bigamy, adultery this is all OK, part of the culture? Above all almost all the news channels are more interested on skin talk like pornography by repeatedly showing graphic images. Actually we have learnt the art of living in dual standards. Saas Bahu (in one of the episode the word Balatkaar was used almost 28 times in prime time) is family drama and every thing else is obscene. I request Mr. Minister to ban all TV channels and let every one have the dope of Doordarshan (Better than sleeping pill). As per the norms the violence and obscene language also inappropriate for viewer than ban on Loksabha Channel first, this is most vulgar of all. Every market, every road you can find porn DVD's/CD's for 50 - 100 Rs. but that is OK as it is beyond control of hon'ble minister saab. You are most welcome to see what I see but if you can not handle it don't snap it.
